Works well
I notice a difference already in my skin and hair. It does have a slight smell but I would not say its fishy. It mixes in easily into hot coffee so its very easy to drink with no bad taste. Would highly recommend.

Fewer split nails!
I have used Vital Proteins regular collagen peptides for several years, but recently read about the benefits of marine collagen for skin, hair and nails and decided to give this one a try. I typically add collagen to oatmeal and smoothies. There is no change in flavor between the two types of collagen–there’s certainly no fishy taste, but with the addition of marine collagen my oatmeal seems more creamy, which is really nice.I’ve only been using it for a few weeks, but my nails are definitely splitting less–a huge improvement! I plan to make Vital Proteins Marine Collagen Peptides a permanent part of my daily breakfast routine and am optimistic that I can achieve zero split nails in the near future.

Unflavored; no fishy taste/aftertaste
Very good product. Unflavored with no fishy taste/aftertaste. I don’t use a full packet each time. One-quarter packet works fine for me, so I end up with 4 servings to one packet. Twenty packets to a box. Non-GMO Project Verified with symbol on front of the box; this way you know there were no bioengineered products added to the product. Product can be added to any drinkable liquid, stir, and drink. For me, I would add to juice, water, or a smoothie. Not sure if the Marine collagen would work well in hot beverages. Sits well with the stomach, the texture is finely ground so mixes smoothly, no chemical or lab-added ingredients. The collagen adds good protein to the body and helps to plump up the skin. As far as for pain relief, if the product is used on a daily basis, eventually the collagen begins to build up the tendons and ligaments and helps with cushioning the areas between the bones to provide some relief. I am not a doctor and I can only suggest what it has done for me regarding pain relief.

Just started using it.Container is half full, but it is 18 servings.They should put a measuring spoon inside.It’s typically just marine collagen peptides (from fish), so no unnecessary fillers.Unflavored & versatile: Mixes easily into coffee, tea, smoothies, or water without changing taste much.Personally I mixed it with peppermint tea.Dissolves well: Blends smoothly with no clumping.Skin & hair support (potential): Collagen may help improve skin elasticity and hydration over time, hopefully will see good results soon.Wild-caught sourcing: A plus if you care about ingredient sourcing.

Not even 20 servings at this price?
At $30 I expected more content considering the big container it was sent in. It fills up barely above half the container, and you need to use 3 whole tablespoons just to get ONE serving (out of 18 servings). Something about the packaging isn’t adding up to the amount of portions included. Yes, there’s a 20 serving version but you’re literally paying more, not less per ounce that way.This powder doesn’t have as much of a fishy taste or stinky smell as other powders I’ve tried, but it’s very thick and granulated and takes much longer to dissolve. It also gives the drink a foamy texture. I’d like to say it’s good if you want a tasteless, odorless collagen powder, but hard to gauge any other merits than that.—————————————————————–EDIT: I finished the container and updated my rating accordingly. During the time I consumed this collagen powder, I had some inexplicable whitehead pimples that randomly popped up in places I’ve never had a single pimple before (i.e., on my upper arm or my hip). If you look it up, other people have reported similar problems with Vital Proteins collagen. I’ve since switched over to a popular Japanese brand’s collagen powder and have had no issues with it. I didn’t even have issues from the collagen powder I took before Vital Proteins, so it has to be a problem with Vital Proteins itself. As a result, I won’t be ordering this again.
