Lemme be real with you: I got this through the Vine program, so it didn’t cost me anything up front. However, it may end up costing me my sanity. See, I’m starting to think they (whoever “they” are) have quietly figured out that the best way to create a lifelong customer is to just let someone try it for free once.Diabolical.Because here’s the thing about a $180 eye cream: When something costs that much, you’re almost rooting for it to fail. You want to be able to say “see, I knew it wouldn’t be worth it” and walk away with your dignity intact. Unfortunately for me, and fortunately for Lancôme, that is not what happened here.Lemme first start with the appearance: the gold jar is compact, sits easily in your hand, and confidently screams “I’m part of the 1%” from the counter of your $1500/month studio apartment. The cream has a smooth, almost melting texture that blends in effortlessly without any tugging around the eye area, plumping your fine lines, and reversing the years of crying over your lack of an inheritance.Then there’s the scent. It’s floral, like a very light tuberose, and so understated and elegantly done that it’s more of a vibe than a fragrance. It’s the kind of smell you get when stepping off your private plane in Hawaii. Sure, this may feel ridiculous to admit about an eye cream but here we are.I have an extensive premium brand skincare collection at this point in my life (it fills the hole in my heart where a savings account should be), so my routine consists of using multiple products at a time. I’m glad to say that this one layered perfectly and didn’t pill with the rest of my routine, and there was no irritation whatsoever.Good start, right? Well literally I still had my skeptic hat on, and then I woke up again. I mean I woke up the next morning after sleeping with it on. My under-eye area looked noticeably hydrated, and I swear to whatever is out there that didn’t make me born into this world with a trust fund that the dark circles I’ve been fighting my whole life looked genuinely lighter after a single use. I stared at myself in the mirror for an embarrassingly long time. I mean I looked SO good!I’ve tried a lot of eye creams across a lot of price ranges, and while this is definitely the most expensive, I was truly not prepared for it. The Proxylane and biotech peptide formula is apparently not playing around, and now I have to live with the knowledge that the price tag is justified because it actually does what it says and when I run out I’m going to have to get myself a sugar daddy.Overall, suffice it to say, this is an excellent eye cream—and also a financial threat. I’d recommend it for anyone serious about their eye area, who can afford health insurance, and who’s prepared to never be able to go back.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A Rich, Luxurious Cream that Tightens and Lifts!
I love this! I’m a younger woman, but one who travels a ton for work, and thus has a lot of high-stress and dry skin days to worry about. Not quite aging skin, but I’ve got similar concerns with skin tightness and elasticity that many older woman do. I’ve only been trying this for a few days, and have noticed that this cream definitely makes the skin in my undereye area feel bouncier and tighter to the touch. I love Lancome and get their products often, and would have to say that this is one of my favorites of theirs thus far.This is a nice, smooth and luxurious-feeling cream that applies easily. There isn’t a super strong smell to this (though I definitely get a bit of the classic Lancome rose scent, which fades with wear time), which is great for my delicate/sensitive skin :)) I feel like my undereyes have had a bit more plumpness to them recently, and that when I apply this they look a bit less sunken after nights with little sleep than they normally do.I’ve tried undereye creams in the past, and found them too clogging/heavy — the skin under my eyes is prone to comedones with anything occlusive/thick. No issues with this one, despite how rich and creamy the formula is! It spreads on surprisingly thin for how thick it is in the jar.The jar is luxurious — no issues with opening or closing, even late at night when my hands are a bit fumbly. Usually I end up with a tilted lid every once in a while, but nada here!Overall, I like this a lot and would definitely recommend it. You get a pretty good amount for what you put in, and you use very little at a time, so I would say that this is good value, despite the higher price tag. You’re getting a luxury experience, and that’s going to have a luxury price point to match. 5 stars from me!
