Really great formula!
This is the first liquid face sunscreen I’ve ever used that I thought was any good.I’ve tried BB creams and CC creams, tinted sunscreens, stick sunscreens, mineral powder sunscreens, sunscreen milks, and my normal go-to is just wearing mineral foundation that protects my skin really well from the sun (“really well” as in, I hiked probably 50-60 miles around Arizona and Utah and got absolutely ZERO color as a Fitzpatrick skin type III wearing just my mineral makeup).I normally hate the feeling of sunscreen unless it’s the dry mineral powder kind, but since my makeup is already basically the same thing, I don’t often feel the need to put on a liquid. Especially given that most of them give me mild to severe contact dermatitis (I’m looking at you ELF sunscreen stick! I needed almost a week of steroids to get that to calm down). This sunscreen, however, feels really silky and smooth, and rubs in quickly and easily. No white cast, even though I have the lightest color. It’s perfect on the days when I want to hang out in the yard and garden without putting my mineral makeup on.It’s truly matte. The color does tend to lean more to the pink side, so if you’re Caucasian or have pinkier undertones, this will work best for you, but it still works fine for me with my yellow/olive undertones without making me look like I’m wearing a mask of foundation in the wrong color because the tint isn’t super pigmented. The texture is a bit like a silicone-based primer, which I appreciate because it doesn’t feel sticky. I do wish it had a dewier finish, but on my skin, anything dewy basically transfers off of my skin onto anything that so much as thinks about making contact with my face. Not to mention, dewy products tend to kind of slide off of me, so it’s always a situation where I have to pick my poison.After wearing this for several hours, I can say that this feels like basically nothing on my skin, which I really appreciate. Again, I’m the kind of person who cannot wear liquid foundation because it feels like I’m wearing a mask and everything transfers off of my skin unless I set everything with powder. So being able to wear a liquid sunscreen without wanting to immediately wash it off my face is kind of a feat.Did I just find my new holy grail sunscreen???!

Bring back !
I absolutely love this product. I always have been using the old matte finish tinted sunscreen by Australian Gold which has always worked for me because it has more coverage than this one that goes on super blended into my skin. Please keep this formula and bring back the matte finish tinted sunscreen previous formula as well because I’d like to have both! The previous one for more coverage and matte look and this new one for a more just me look! They are both unavailable and I can’t find them anywhere! Please bring back !

Same formula, smaller tube
Want to first say that I love this tinted sunscreen. It works great for my skin and skin tone and lasts all day. I only bought this one because the Australian Good tinted sunscreen I swore by previously is no longer available. That being said, this is the same exact thing in a different tube, just costs more and you get less. I’ll still purchase again, just another company giving less for more :(.

Same Formula, Just Repackaged
This is the same formula as the old/original australian gold botanical tinted sunscreen – it looks like they just repacked it. It’s been my long-standing go-to sunscreen on days I don’t wear makeup because it has a lovely tint that just evens out the skin tone. New packaging version seems just as good and will continue to be a staple for me!

“Fair to Light” is a bit darker than the “Vanishing nude” version
I have another tinted sunscreen from this same brand, so I’m comparing the two. This one is “Fair to light” and is $19 for 2.5oz, the other one is “Vanishing nude” and is $19 for 5oz.I recommend them both, and would reorder either one for myself! The vanishing nude version has been my go-to tinted face sunscreen since I first tried it in Sept 2025.They are very similar – both are mineral, tinted, SPF 50. The active sunscreen ingredients between the two are the same. Neither of these have a scent which is nice. Both have a matte finish. It seems like a smooth finish and not chalky, but it is definitely matte and can make the skin look dry. Both take a little while to dry/set. They feel a bit greasy/heavy going on, but that feeling goes away after it sets. Even after they set, I can feel the texture of the sunscreen when I touch my face. It doesn’t feel greasy anymore, but it feels slightly grippy. The one good thing about that, for me at least, is that it stops me from touching my face too much.The only real difference that I can tell between two in how they wear is that the this one (“Fair to light”) is a *bit* darker than the vanishing nude. On my fair skin, they both work. The difference in the shade after rubbing them in isn’t as noticeable as they look coming out of the tube. I can do my face in half and half and really can’t tell the difference in the color.I’m curious if the brand is doing away with the “Vanishing nude” option and replacing it with this new one. They’re both still available right now though. Based on the price per ounce, I’d still opt for the “vanishing nude” just for the value. However, the vanishing nude may be too light for some. My skin is fair, so it’s hard for me to tell, but it doesn’t seem like it vanishes entirely, so it may be too light and leave a white cast on anything other than fair skin. In that case, the fair to light shade is a better option. Even though it’s twice the price, the $19 price point is still reasonable for a high quality tinted sunscreen.In the pics of my arm – vanishing nude on the left, fair to light on the right.
