Lightly hydrating, slight fragrance, absorbs quickly, helps smooth out fine lines
I held off on writing this review until I had used the product for several weeks. I’m at the 3 week mark now.I am fairly new to the Joanna Vargas brand so was super excited to receive this serum! I am always on the lookout for brands and products that offer something new and different to my skincare routine.The 1.05 fl oz Twilight Night Serum is pricey but I was pleased with it overall.I apply it every other evening before bed. The consistency is definitely on the thinner side so I don’t have to use much to cover my entire face. (not quite 2 full pumps) It applies smoothly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or coated.The serum is somewhat hydrating but not super moisturizing. If you have really dry skin, you will definitely need to pair it with a deeper moisturizer.It also has a light fragrance. It isn’t necessarily unpleasant or pleasant. I think I would have preferred an unscented product.After using it daily for several weeks, I think it is helping to diminish my fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes. My skin looks brighter and healthier, too. It did take some time to notice any results. Consistency is key!

love this serum
This serum is fantastic! It’s a good-sized bottle with a convenient pump, which I prefer because it keeps the product sealed in and clean. The serum has a light, thin consistency. It soaks into my skin immediately, so I need several pumps to dispense enough product to put all over my face. I keep going until it starts to feel like it won’t absorb any more, then follow with my usual night cream. It doesn’t make me break out and helps makes my “mature” skin look and feel hydrated. I’m using it every night and love it. My skin looks better than ever, I wake up looking refreshed, with my skin less dry and with fewer fine lines. Really good serum, I would absolutely buy this again!

Nice Scent!
This lotion consistency serum has a nice scent. It’s fast absorbing and leaves my skin feeling soft & smooth. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin in any way. It doesn’t take a lot to cover my whole face. While I am enjoying using it and I plan to continue using it, it is out of my price range, so it’s unlikely I would reorder.

It’s fine but nothing extraordinary
When a skin serum has the sort of price tag that Twilight Night Serum from Joanna Vargas does, you expect it to be amazing and effective in every way. I have to admit, I have been underwhelmed by this. There are two things that I like very much about this serum: that it contains a lot of natural ingredients, and the scent of it. The scent is fresh and lovely, and if the serum was amazing, I’d be tempted to purchase this in the future because I find the scent so appealing. However, the serum is rather middling, and the scent is from “fragrance/parfum” which is less than ideal for people looking for natural ingredients. Why do I refer to the serum as middling? Well, it does moisturize- lightly, but not really enough for my dehydrated skin, and it is not as if my skin looked better in the morning. I suspect that this may be the sort of serum you need to pair with its matching night moisturizer to see results, but that is an expensive proposition. The serum is like a very thin, milky lotion. It glides on easily and it absorbs very quickly. It didn’t irritate my skin at all, but it also didn’t provide the level of moisture that I look for in a serum. I have used more effective serums at a mere fraction of the price of this one. Overall, it is fine, but it is very expensive and not as effective as other serums I’ve tried. For that reason, I give this a 3 out of 5 stars.

Watery Serum, Minimal Moisturizing Effect, Lightly Clean/Floral-Scented
For nearly $200 (price at time of review), I was expecting a very rich and emollient serum with a feeling of luxury and happy absorption by my 50+ year old skin. Instead, this Joanna Vargas Night Serum is a rather watery, thin white serum which pumps from a plastic, not glass, lightweight bottle. I have tested nearly a dozen serum products now, ranging from a few dollars to nearly $350 and this one ranks as one of the lowest in quality and effectiveness in my opinion. I have shaken the contents thinking it may have settled, but that hasn’t changed the consistency. My skin absorbs the liquid serum alright, but isn’t left as smooth and soft as some lesser priced serums have left it. It has a very light, hardly discernable clean floral fragrance that disappears once dry. I had much higher expectations given the price and product description, but unfortunately, this product does not fulfill those expectations. It’s a decent serum, but there are so many others that excel in this category at a much lower price point.

Very Effective but pricey
If you can afford it this is one of the best night creams I’ve ever used, in just a matter of a few weeks it reduced the fine lines around my mouth and at my crows feet. It’s silky smooth and lightly scented and a pure indulgence for your face and neck area leaving my very sensitive skin feeling healthy and glowing. The ingredients are impressive and the results are very visible in a short time. I have tested a lot of night lotions/serums and this is one of the most effective, however, it’s really pricey so it’s out of range for a lot of people. I would definitely recommend this product

The rare lightweight night serum
I didn’t want to like this night serum because of the price, but I ended up loving it. It’s in an easy to use pump bottle and two pumps is enough for my whole face. There’s no noticeable scent and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized, but what won me over is that this is a nice lightweight night serum. A lot of overnight products are too heavy for my taste, but this one is lighter and absorbs fairly quickly without leaving any greasiness, tackiness, or oiliness. If you like those heavier products this probably isn’t the best choice for you, but for those like me who like lighter products this is an excellent option.
