Noticeably lighter dark spots and smoother skin with consistent use
I’ve been using this for about 3 months now and I can honestly say I’ve seen a noticeable difference, especially with a dark spot on my nose. It’s still there, but it’s definitely lighter than it was before.My routine is pretty simple. At night I start with a clean face, then use a pea size amount of Avène Retrinal all over (as shown). I focus a little extra on the dark spot on my nose and right under my eyes for fine lines. After that I go in with a milky toner, then seal everything in with a moisturizer.*I was convinced I’d use more than a pea size amount, but it’s truly all that you need. The moisturizer will help spread it further and seal it is.The biggest difference I’ve noticed is in the texture and softness of my skin. It just feels smoother overall. The key with this product is consistency. It’s not something you use a few times and expect instant results, but if you stick with it, it works.In the mornings I usually use vitamin C instead, but I will sometimes still put this on targeted spots. Just make sure you’re following up with sunscreen. This can only do so much if you’re not protecting your skin from the sun.I’m not even through my first bottle yet and I already bought a second when I saw it on sale because I know I’ll keep using it. It’s worth every dollar.As far as smell, I really don’t even notice a fragrance. It’s pretty neutral.

It doesn’t get better than this! Non-negotiable!
A tried and true- for good reason. We’ve tried other Retrinals, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t get better than this. My partner’s skin has cleared up from breakouts, my fine lines are much less noticeable, and my redness has diminished. If you struggle with Rx Retinols (dry skin and redness) (and who doesn’t?) this is a perfect alternative. My skin can not tolerate Rx, even if I add it slowly, but my skin does great with this Retrinal. We now buy it repeatedly. Also, if you don’t already know this, Retinol is the one product that skin care experts swear by and is scientifically backed to improve skin texture, tone, and laxity. It should be a non-negotiable in the skin care routine of anyone who values taking great care of their skin, for any and all reasons!

Great starter retinal My skin is very sensitive and so far it has done well with this brand. I will use it until it’s gone and then fully evaluate. If you have sensitive skin, this is a good one. Especially for the price.

Good for the forehead, around the eyes and on the nose
I’ve been using Avène Retrinal Intensive Multi‑Corrective Cream for about three years. My dermatologist originally recommended it, and it’s been a regular part of my evening washing-up routine ever since. I do think the price is a bit high, which is why I’m giving it four stars instead of five, though buying it on Amazon is cheaper than getting it through my doctor’s office. It’s hard to say what the results are from using it. In other words, if it’s making my skin look younger. I guess I would only know if I stopped using it which I don’t plan to do anytime soon. I do think it makes my skin look healthier. I use it on my forehead, around my eyes and on my nose.

Has a weird odor
I used to love this made my face feel great smooth and healthy last time I bought had a weird musty smell to it though it was maybe a bad batch ordered another bottle also has the musty smell I miss the older formula

Best Skincare Ever
I have been using Avene Retinaldehyde for 2 years. Love this product. They have now added Hyalyronic acid to this formula. I have to say it glides on a little smoother. I use this product every night M-F. On saturday night I use Alpha 14% Gycolic Acid to loosen the dead skin cells that the Avene breaks up. On Sunday morning when you wash you face you can see the dead skin. While I have the face wash on my face I then derma plane. Smooth glowing skin afterwards. Caution: Don’ t use anything on Sunday night other than facial moisture as your skin will be sensitive. Return to Avene on the following nights M-F. I am 69 and I have a lot of people ask me what my skincare routine is. another word of caution: if you get sensitivity, try sandwiching your Avene with moisturizer until you skin adapts. Highly recommend Avene Retinaldehyde 1.0
