Lovable as All Elf Products
I was really worried about trying this skin tint based on how divided the reviews were. But I really wanted to check it out because I love elf products and was really interested in their Shade 3 Fair Cool formula as I have a cool, pink undertone with freckled skin. It is very close to Maybelline’s Superstay Skin Tint in shade 102 Porcelain, which I also use for longer-wear days when I want a matte finish. Do note, I am NOT utilizing the elf skin tint as my main sunscreen for my face. I use it purely as makeup. VERY important to note that this product oxidizes not just a little, but a LOT. You can even find some videos showcasing this color change. It’s the high zinc oxide content. However, don’t let this scare you! In fact, this is absolutely the right kind of oxidation. When I first apply the tint, it washes me out and makes me look pasty in a bad way. Once it settles and dries though, the warmth comes back, and thankfully not orange! Just a flattering pink-beige. Not to mention I use elf’s Halo Glow Liquid Filter in shade 0.5 underneath to add just a touch of inner warmth as well, and then bronzer on top for that natural-looking depth. Overall I find myself reaching for this product a LOT. If you’re looking for a light, blendable skin tint that gives a very skin-like finish on fair skin, I definitely recommend!

Best tinted sunscreen – made with minerals!
This is my 3rd bottle of this tinted sunscreen and its part of my daily routine and helps me get ready to leave the house quickly. It goes on like a medium coverage foundation and covers my acne scars and freckles so well, I don’t need concealer. I have used almost every SPF foundation and tinted moisturizer, but they are usually too thin or too greasy. This stays put for most of the day. It leaves a slight sheen, which makes my face feel like it’s glowing. If you sweat a lot, it can get slick by the very end of the day, but the face can be blotted, or a bit of touch up can be done. Funny thing is, both the light cool, light neutral and light warm are fine on my skin! Using light neutral or light cool in seasons where I am less tan, and light warm when I am more tan. I love getting this on amazon, because these colors tend to sell out at stores like Walmart and Target.

Just a little goes a long way!
A little goes a Very long way! It also runs very light. I initially ordered the Fair/neutral, but it was definitely for more ivory or porcelain skin. I tried the Light/neutral and it matches my complexion perfectly! It provides a good protective layer, and has a matte finish. I would suggest using a setting spray if you want a more natural or dewy look. Overall I am happy with this purchase, especially for the price!

MORE THAN JUST A MOISTURIZER
Leaves your skin fresh and glowing. NO cakey build-up. Has added SPF of 50. Glides on smooth and easy with great coverage, so you just need a small amount. This does NOT settle into fine lines! Large selection of shades to choose from. Best of all…. It is CRUELTY FREE!

Pretty glow, bluring effect but zero actual coverage and cakes and doesn’t stay on all day
I have mixed feelings on this. It is lightweight, does give a glowy, dewy look, does blur, and I love that it has SPF that I can’t smell or that doesn’t seem to irritate my sensitive skin. It’s coverage isn’t the best and isn’t buildable at all for any coverage, although that wasn’t necessarily expected given its product description. But it gets weirdly cakey on my skin or when layered with other products if you do need more coverage. If it didn’t get cakey looking or kinda seem like it flakes off as well by mid-day, I would have given more stars. When you first apply it, its very pretty, but I feel like it doesn’t last or stay smooth all day. It also settles into lines a bit too. I think the Elf Camo Concealer that I used for years is just a better product. Wanted to try more of a dewy look and feel like I was also getting moisturizer (which I don’t necessarily feel like its very moisturizerizing on its own. Im still applying a different moisturizer beforehand) but it hasn’t proven to be a one and done product for me. I’ll use all the product since there are pros and cons and I’m kinda still trying to figure out if it always gets cakey or if there’s any patterns in my skincare routine causing this issue since like I mentioned it hasn’t really worked out to replace other products like moisturizer or a better concealer. Also there are times you don’t want to look shiny- it definitely is shiny so if you like a matte complexion, it is not for you. But it does blur and gives that dewy glow. Looks good when first applied but also lacks staying power. Am on the fence but don’t fully love it like I was hoping.

Best Face Sunscreen Ever
Holy grail of sunscreen. I have been on a quest for the best sunscreen for my face that does not leave a white cast for years. This sunscreen is truly sheer coverage but high SPF. Does not make my sensitive skin break out. Able to apply more for more coverage. Tons of color options. No fragrance or shimmer. Looks great under makeup. I have purchased several and recommend it to anyone. I have had no issues with applying this on top of serums and moisturizers either. So glad I found this product finally. I have tried so many other expensive facial SPFs (Like Supergoop Unseen and ColorScience) and this one is the by far the best.

It’s a no
It’s a cult favorite that didn’t work for me at all. I’m a light neutral-cool, with dry skin. 47 years old. Some texture. My skincare combats the dry really well. Somehow, despite good prep, this skin tint texture brings out both the greasy places on my skin and the dry patches, both in an unflattering way. This skin tint sits on top of my skin and looks masklike and harsh. Light-cool is very peachy, much too peachy for pink undertones and comes across sallow (pic is light-cool – product applied to half my face). Light-neutral is far too yellow. So – sad to say this one’s a fail for me. Just wrong for my skin I guess.
