Seriously cleans out the pores
This mask is high quality. It takes about 25ish minutes to dry completely. I used a fan to help speed up the process. The silicone spatula works amazing and keeps my hands clean. This is a thick mask, so it’s take an extra few seconds to scrub it off your skin if you have to. It’s pretty easy to remove the dried mask once you un adhere it from the edges of your face, that takes a little bit to get it started. It pulls out the gunk! You can see it! It’s satisfying to know that my pores are actually getting cleaned out. The tea tree oil feels good on my skin after too. Doesn’t feel oily or anything, it actually makes my skin feel refreshed. Definitely recommend this for the price.

Amazing mask, but peel gently!!
I was looking for a way to clear out my clogged pores, and this blackhead-removing mask definitely does that. It comes with a silicone spatula, which really helps with application, especially as this mask is quite thick and goopy. Using the spatula makes it much easier to get an even, mess-free layer across the T-zone without getting the thick mask stuck to your hands or under your fingernails.The mask feels very cooling when applied, which is nice. It smells so fresh and clean, which I absolutely love. Once the mask fully dries and you begin the peeling process, you can visibly see the gunk that is pulled from the skin. It’s satisfying and gross at the same time. After use the skin feels extremely smooth, and weirdly tight, which is an odd sensation.This mask has a very strong grip. It pulls at the skin quite hard during removal. If you have sensitive skin, you’ll want to be extra cautious. I recommend avoiding the more delicate areas of your face and sticking strictly to the nose, chin, and middle of the forehead. Even then, peel gently!!! There is definitely a strong tugging sensation, so be prepared.It is a little difficult to peel if you don’t apply a thick enough layer. There’s definitely a fine line, because for optimal results, you don’t want to apply too much, or too little. I think the trick is to keep a thicker layer at the edge, so that there’s something to grip when the time comes to peel.The l set also comes with a tea tree serum that is advertised to tighten pores and restore skin after using the mask. This has quite a strong scent. This is obviously to be expected with tea tree, but to me it’s a little overwhelming.I was worried the tea tree oil would be a little too harsh after already irritating the skin a little with the peeling mask, but I was pleasantly surprised. I do suffer from redness naturally, so I do use both products sparingly.The price for the set is incredibly affordable, especially as you receive three items, and the mask and oil are both full sized. Other than the harsh “pulling” of the mask, there aren’t very many cons to this set. I have been very happy with this set.

good mask
I picked up this Amoado charcoal peel-off mask set mostly because my T-zone gets so congested and oily no matter what I do. I’m in my late 30s with combination skin and some fine lines, so I was a little worried it might be too harsh, but it’s actually been pretty impressive after using it a handful of times.The mask itself is a really dark black gel – not super runny, thick enough to stay put when you spread it. Comes with this flexible silicone spatula thing that makes applying way less messy than using fingers (no black gunk under my nails!). I usually do my nose, chin, and T-zone, working in sections because it starts setting up pretty fast. Leave it on 20-25 minutes and it peels off in big satisfying sheets instead of flaking apart. You can literally see the blackheads and little bits of junk it yanked out – gross but kinda satisfying lol.It does pull some fine hairs too, so keep it away from eyebrows and definitely don’t get near your eyes. There’s a slight minty/tea tree vibe when it’s on, but it’s not overpowering or lingering, which I like better than those super strong charcoal smells.The tea tree serum that comes with it is a nice bonus – I pat it on after peeling and it calms things down without feeling heavy. I have a bit of rosacea so I can’t go crazy with it; once or twice a week max, then I slather on my regular moisturizer right after to keep from feeling tight. If your skin is super sensitive you might only want to do it once a month or so, but for me it’s been helping refine pores and keep oil in check without wrecking my barrier.Only downside was the box arrived looking kinda beat up – taped together and the inner cardboard insert was torn. Product itself was sealed and fine though, so no big deal for me but I wouldn’t gift it looking like that.Overall, if you want a no-fuss at-home deep clean that actually shows results on the mask, this ones pretty solid. The applicator makes it feel more pro and less chaotic than other peel-offs I’ve tried. Definitely recommending to friends with oily/combo skin who want something effective but not crazy expensive.
