Amazing hair ingredients!
This is a really nice hair serum. I noticed right away that it has a lot of good ingredients I look for, like castor oil, rosemary oil, and other nourishing oils for hair. I like that it is not sticky or too thick, and it works well on dry hair. I usually apply it to my ends after I shower, and at night I massage it into my scalp and run it through the ends of my hair to help promote growth. I cannot say much about growth yet since I have not been using it very long, but my hair does feel stronger and looks shinier. The oil has a good balance where it is not too thick or too thin, and it does not feel greasy. It also smells really refreshing, kind of like a tea tree scent.

for softer, healthier hair
My son has been making his own cocktail of hair oil for the past year, with a blend of oils that have actually done a good job of making his beard grow in. So when I discovered the Thrive Hair Oil from Forest & Shore oil I was excited to see it included some of the same ingredients (and then some!). The mix of Almond, Castor, Argan and Lavender Oils is great for growth; Coconut, Clary Sage, and Baobab Oils promote scalp health; Coffee and Rosemary Oils help precent loss; and Jojoba, Avocado, Sunflower Seed, and Apricot Oils keep hair healthy. The brand suggests using it overnight for best results, and that’s what I have been trying. It makes the most sense, too, because the oil does make my hair look greasy for a couple hours (even when I apply a smaller amount) because I like to apply it at the root and work down to the ends. Used overnight, it has a chance to soak into my hair and when I wake up my hair feels smoother and softer. It looks manageable without being weighed down, which is hard to do with my fine hair. I haven’t been using it long enough yet to see any noticeable growth, but I do think both my hair and scalp are a little healthier. The scent is lovely and natural, and the bottle and packaging are a nice quality, too.

Greasy 🙁 nice benefits & light scent otherwise
Shoot I followed the directions and used 2 droppers but it is very greasy on my hair. Like more so than if I had used olive oil or olaplex no7 oil. I do have thick but fine hair for reference that is not oily until day 3 naturally. Will try a wee bit instead and see if can tolerate next time before giving up.

I started using this hair oil a few weeks ago and i have become obsessed with making sure it’s part of my weekly hair wash routine. My favourite way to use it is to put it all over my scalp and the ends of my hair the night before I wash my hair. This lets the product absorb into my scalp and really soak in all the benefits and goodness. Washing it out the following day leaves my hair super silky and nourished. It visibly looks so shiny and healthy now. I started using the oil due to post partum hair loss and my goal is to get back all the volume and thickness I have lost. I actually had very thin almost bald patches around my face frame and hair line that is now finally spouting brand new baby hairs. I just know that this product has contributed to this new hair growth. If you love lavender and spa smelling scents then you will love the smell of this! I’m still using the product to see what further benefits and growth I can achieve but so far I would recommend this hair oil as a 10/10 purchase!
