What makes Mito Red Light panels different from other red light therapy devices?
Mito Red Light panels deliver high irradiance output, optimized 660nm red and 850nm NIR wavelengths, and third-party testing. Designed for performance, safety, they provide powerful light and premium features at fraction of many competitors’ prices.
What benefits can red and near-infrared light therapy support?
Red and near-infrared light therapy supports healthy-looking skin, post-exercise recovery, and a healthy inflammatory response. These wavelengths are widely studied for their role in supporting mitochondrial energy production and cellular function.
Does the Mito Red Original Series 2.0 have a timer and different treatment modes?
Yes. The panel includes a built-in digital timer that allows sessions from 1–20 minutes. You can select Red light (660nm), Near-Infrared light (850nm), or both simultaneously to customize your session depending on your wellness goals.
How powerful is the Mito Red Original Series 2.0 compared to similar panels?
Independent testing shows the panel can deliver over 37,500 joules in a 10-minute session. With 100 LEDs and optimized beam angles, it is designed to deliver consistent light coverage for targeted wellness sessions.
Is the Mito Red Light panel tested for safety and engineered for long-term use?
Yes. Mito Red Light devices are ETL certified for electrical safety and independently tested to verify light output specifications. Each panel is built for durability and supported with long-term product reliability in mind.

I wish more people understood the potential of infrared lights along with Red light therapy.
Great , my husband and I use it 3 times a week. It does feel like it is penetrating deeper into the skin and helps with pain. My husband used it on an infection on his leg and it actually made it go away.,(cellulitis) he has so many issues and it helps with the pain. It is certainly worth every penny. So happy I found it.. and took a chance. Very satisfied and it’s a little heavy, but that doesn’t stop us from taking it from room. Easy installation, actually not much to do at all.

Spa Quality MitoMID
I didn’t really pay attention to the weight when I ordered, but on arrival I was able to see the light box is made to be used daily. The body is of metal. Each LED is precisely mounted. The two fans are quiet and have plenty of air intake and exhaust. The electronic control works great and has a timer. I have used the unit four times so far without any problems. I am using this for my face, neck, & forearms. The rubber feet and cooling vents show the MitoMID should either be standing on it’s long axis, or lying down on it’s “back.” I’ve not come up with an ideal arrangement with chairs and counter so I am at the right height for face and neck. It’s also difficult to include both the tops/outer of my forearms at the same time. I’ll figure it out. The included eye protection is nice. It’s amazing how much light I still see even with the glasses. I am glad I got this size rather than the smaller size Mito. And, its’ made in the USA~!

Device itself seems solid, execution lacking some refinement
This review pertains to the device, not RLT as I don’t have enough first-hand experience with it to speak to it just yet.The admittedly rather expensive light is packed nice and carefully in foam, double boxed. Comes with a large letter-sized color manual and some cables and straps so it may be hung from a door at just about any height you would like. The top of the device has two threaded holes where these cables screw in to attach. On the back, there’s 12 threaded holes, presumably where a variety of mounting points could be secured. It would be nice if it came with a stand to hold it at an angle, like the Mini version has.In the box you get a pair of special glasses which all but block the red light, and a set of “eye bikinis” so you can shield your eyes but treat the area directly around your eyes. The manual suggests you use eye protection however research and experience shows you can shut your eyes and face it while its in operation and while it’s a bit uncomfortable for an extended period, it may in fact have benefits! Do your own research and draw your own conclusions. The device uses 2.5 watts while switched on, doing nothingIt uses 174 watts with Red and IR lights on, 105 watts with just the red lights on, and 70 watts with just the IR lights onThese ratings are power drawn from the wall using a basic Kill-a-watt device. That’s just under 1.5 amps max for those of you keeping score at home. The power switch on the back is a nice feeling kachunk-a-chunk physical switch. The included power cord is a standard 15 amp rated 6′ IEC w/ a 90 degree plug. It’s just like what you’d use to plug in most electronics such as a computer or printer or whatever, but it has a 90 degree plug. For an extra $3 they could have instead used something more compliant like an 8 amp rated cord, and made it 12 feet. Would have added a TON of convenience for this specialty, portable device, but no such measure was taken to add to the user experience. This, and the lack of any kind of stable support stand, is why it got four stars instead of five (so far, keep reading…)While in use the two fans hum along. It’s a pleasant fan sound. I can’t say whether the fans are cheap, but they sound like they run smoothly and don’t make any unpleasant noises. Presumable one may mediate in front of this lamp for minutes at a time, so distracting and garish noises would be an irritation. I’m happy to say that I rather like the sound of the fans. I hope they run smoothly and quietly for the life of the product. As mentioned earlier, it’s really meant to be hung from a door, pointed straight ahead, but it may also be placed on a table on it’s four hard rubberish feet. Since the base of the device is narrow, it’s a little precarious so you would not want to leave it standing on the table while not in use or it may fall over by accident. It’s like a bowling pin.The interface consists of a timer, adjustable in whole minute increments from one minute to twenty minutes, with a single button to increase one minute at a time, and then go back to one. Another button lets you choose between modes…A I has both sets of lights onA has the red lights onI has infrared lights onA = Red. Got it. :(105 watts of LED light is NOT the same as 100w light bulb like you grew up with. This thing is VERY bright and you can feel the heat coming off of it from about a foot away if you sit there for a moment. The individual diodes appear to be about $3-5 a piece from electronics suppliers, so as far as I can tell they didn’t cheap out too bad on the business end of this product.Another UX ding – the three user interface buttons are all touch buttons with no tactility, so practice is required to tap the power button with my glasses off without having to look at the side to identify which button is which. I’d have preferred they left more space between the power button and the timer and mode buttons, but this is kindof a nitpick.Does it work? My feeble little animal brain seems to think so, and I am willing to continue using it daily as a wellness gadget.

If I could give 4.5 stars I would. This device has become an essential part of my routine health care. I use weekly however have a small handheld device for daily use. I’ve also used more often during times with body pain etc…

Works well but the NIR may be too strong for the protective eyewear.
This panel works great it pretty much does as advertised. I’m about 5′ 8″ so I can do a full body treatment in about 6 five minute sessions. Sometimes I skip the lower legs so I can do it in 4 sessions. This takes about 30 minutes counting setup time so not too bad. I think I would eventually want to upgrade to a 6 foot panel to be able to do the whole body in 2 sessions but those large panels are quite expensive. One important thing to note is I noticed when the NIR is turned on, and I am treating my face I see strange purple spots in my eyes. I suspect this means the NIR is too strong for the included protective eyewear. So now I turn NIR off, and only use the red light when treating my face. At least this means the NIR works though, and has strong penetration.

Better than face masks
This is my first Red Light Panel, and I’m very pleased with it. I decided to order it because I could use my HSA account, which was a great benefit. The quality is excellent—it’s clear that it’s well-made. It has even fallen a couple of times (not from a great height), but it still works perfectly without any issues.I’ve been using it for about a month now and can see noticeable results. I use it every other day for my face and also for my back. It’s very user-friendly, and the built-in timer makes it even more convenient. In hindsight, I think I should have ordered a larger size, but this one works well for my needs.I also appreciate that it comes with two types of protective glasses for the eyes, which makes it much easier and safer to use. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase!
