Great Product, but Not the Right Fit for My Overactive Mind
Hello! I’d like to share my experience with this product. I absolutely love this brand — all of my supplements are from Sports Research. I use several of their products: Creatine, Omega-3, D3-K2, Astaxanthin, Magnesium, Zinc, and Collagen. Every single one has been top-quality, and this Ashwagandha is no exception in terms of purity and formulation.That said, I’d like to talk about how it personally affected me. I’m a very hyperactive person — my mind works fast and tends to overthink everything. I’ve tried various Ashwagandha formulas over the years, but this one, with a high 35% withanolide concentration, didn’t sit well with my system.The first time I took it, I used it daily in the mornings after breakfast for two weeks. I began to feel increased anxiety, excessive overthinking, and even mild paranoia when focusing on negative thoughts. I stopped taking it, and those sensations faded by the second day.Just a few days ago, I decided to give it another try and took it again for a full week — unfortunately, the exact same reaction occurred, confirming that this particular concentration doesn’t work for me.Of course, not all bodies and minds react the same way. What happened to me doesn’t mean this is a bad product — in fact, I believe the opposite: it’s a strong, high-quality extract. It just wasn’t the right match for me personally.I’ve gone back to a more traditional Ashwagandha formula and feel much better. It helps me slow down my mind, which is what I was aiming for, and when I pair it with PharmaGABA, I sleep really well.I hope my experience helps someone out there!

It Works! Really Nicely Formulated Ashwagandha Supplement
I’ve tried a few other solutions and supplements over the years to help manage stress and improve sleep quality. I recently started some new projects at work that were causing me quite a bit of stress and I was looking for something to help throughout the day, and a nurse friend recommended The Sports Research supplements because it uses Shoden extract and combines it with coconut MCT oil in a soft gel.How it performed:- The soft gels are small and easy to swallow, and there’s no earthy aftertaste like some powdered capsules have.- I started with one soft gel in the evening. Within a week I felt a little more relaxed at bedtime and less wired after long work days. It didn’t knock me out, but it eased me into sleep. This is a big deal to me, given I have ADHD and like drinking Coke Zero’s in the afternoon and for dinner.- I appreciate that it’s gluten-free, vegan, and uses a standardized extract, which isn’t always the case with herbal supplements.Points to consider:- Supplements affect everyone differently; it may take longer for some people to feel a difference.- The serving size is two soft gels, so a 120-count bottle lasts about two months if taken daily.-There’s a subtle herbal scent when you open the bottle, not unpleasant, but noticeable.Overall, this is a thoughtfully formulated ashwagandha supplement. it’s now part of my nightly routine and seems to support my stress management.

I bought these because I watched a “SciShow” video on YT that had good things to say about this and reducing stress by reducing cortisol…I normally am not a stressed person but a few months ago I went through one of the most stressful periods of my life. to keep it short I broke my arm, no insurance, was between jobs and had a heck of a time trying to figure out a job when you’re showing up to interviews with your arm in a sling, got an eviction letter, had to also take on a disabled family member and care for them. Really a perfect storm of unfortunate timing and circumstances. I was able to get to the other side and now I’m in one of the best positions I’ve been in in life but I started taking this stuff AFFTER having climbed over that mountain. I feel so good and man anything that might of made me angry or stressed now just kind of doesn’t effect me at all. I got hit in a hit and run the other day (not kidding) which did about 8k in damage to my car and thankfully I am fully insured now and my insurance is handling it but I even have my dash cam video of it. I was just so calm and just went about my day and took care of it without too much stress… (not to pretend I WASN’T at all stressed or angry… I was… But I just handled it all gracefully.Just have this daily with your morning coffee (or what ever your morning routine is).Now… could I just be feeling good because I went from rock bottom recently to having a really good job that I love and handling all my business and THEN started trying this? Sure. I don’t think this stuff can “fix” issues or make an unhappy person happy – but I do feel like it can make it easier for you to handle stuff.There’s also some niche anecdotal ‘side effects’ or other effects people like to say this stuff is good for… like making you more… manly? vigorous? I do feel that way but I really couldn’t say if its because of this pill or because I just feel so much better and am in a better place and am much happier. But sure.Anyways – whether this is ‘helping’ or the whole reason I’m happier / less stressed and experiencing all kinds of goodness in my life currently I at least ‘believe’ in it now lol so placebo or not I’m going to keep taking this until some bombshell research comes out refuting it.

Love these softens, easy to swallow absolutely zero after taste and no regurgitation flavor in the mouth as well. Have been using them for the past two weeks and it’s effective and I can appreciate the clean ingredients in it.
